CHOLITAS WRESTLING

We will pick you up from your hostel in La Paz between 3:00pm to 03:45 to depart for El Alto. The show begins at 4:00pm is an American-style wrestling fight where the fighters are Bolivian Cholas, who proudly wear their traditional-style clothing and braids for the showdown. The spectacle takes two and a half hours. The wrestling “cholitas” are members of the “Titanes del Ring” Association, which are a group of fighters who have wide experience in wrestling in Bolivia and are known for their experience, professionalism, and showmanship. It’s a fun afternoon, the wrestlers will provide you with plenty of laughs.

CHACALTAYA TOUR

Chacaltaya was once the highest “ski resort” in the world. The 5380 meter mountain is a fantastic option for a day trip from La Paz its location provides you greats views over the Cordillera Real, over to Lake Titicaca and back towards the cities of El Alto and La Paz.

The trip starts in the morning around 8.00 to 9.00 when the bus picks you up from your hotel and you start your trip from La Paz up to El Alto and onto the altiplano towards the mountain range where Chacaltaya sits. Along the way you will see alpacas and llamas grazing in the hills and views of Huayna Potosi amongst other mountains in the Cordillera Real.

TIWANAKU TOUR

Amazing Place!!! Located near the southern shore of Lake Titicaca in Bolivia, the city of Tiwanaku (also spelled Tiahuanaco) was the capital of a powerful pre-Inca civilization that dominated the Andean region between 500 and 900 AD. The monumental remains of this great culture include several temples, a pyramid, symbolic gates, monoliths and mysterious carvings of alien-like faces. Arriving later, the Incas regarded Tiahuanaco as the site of creation by their god Viracocha, who rose from the depths of Lake Titicaca.

Visit the Bolivian most important archeological site, the pre-Inca ruins of Tiwanaku culture (1600 BC), where the monolith Bennet can be appreciated, the famous Gate of the Sun, the Kalasasaya temple, the Akapana pyramid, the semi-subterranean Temple, the lithic and ceramic museums.

MOON VALLEY TOUR

Valle de la Luna (the Valley of the Moon) - Located in the southern of La Paz city. The “Valley of the Moon” is landscape of eroded rock and pinnacles with a lunar like appearance. It can make for interesting photographs and a pleasant walk to view the different formations. Several species of cactus grow ups there. The tour is around a 30 minute guided walk. This area is lower than central La Paz and is much warmer. You will be back in the centre of La Paz at around 15.30 / 16.00.

COPACABANA TOUR 1,2 OR 3 DAYS

Copacabana is a small town next to Lake Titicaca (Lago Titicaca). At an altitude of around 3800 meters. A boat journey away from the town of Copacabana will bring you to Isla del Sol (sun island) which according to legend is the place where the inca culture started.

DEATH ROAD - COROICO

BIKING - Full Day Ride!!!
An approximately 10-hour ride. Hotel pick-up at 8:00 am. to begin this trip to the Andes Royal Mountain Range summit (15,255 ft. above sea level) then descend to “Los Yungas” sub-tropical area (5,500 ft. above sea level) enjoying the magnificent scenery and short strolls on the road. Along the road you will see coca and coffee plantations and citrus orchards (if season allows). Visit to the small town of Coroico and lunch in a local restaurant, after that, return to La Paz. Arrival at 6:00 pm. (approximately).
7:30 am.: The tour starts in “The Summit” at 15,420 ft. above sea level. There, it is possible to enjoy the unbelievable view from several mountains that have their summits covered with snow, among them the “Huayna Potosi” (with 19,980 ft. above sea level). From there the descent starts through the paved road enjoying meanwhile the beautiful landscapes. Then a brief stop to take a small snack. After that, the next stage of the descent starts, entering the old dirt road and through it to the most tropical area where the landscapes with their many shades of green and thick jungle will begin to show.
This road descends more than 6,500 ft. with precipices of more than 3,250 ft. deep to the left and mountain waterfalls to the right. Professional guides will supervise the group constantly.
Since 2007, most of the traffic does not transit this section, which makes the experience even more pleasant. Close to reaching the destination, the climate will switch to a more tropical temperature.
The destination is the Yolosa village at 3,600 ft. above sea level.
Then, the trek will continue until arrive to Senda Verde Refuge, where you will be able to enjoy a delicious buffet lunch, and the refreshing swimming pool as well. The descent takes 5 hours give or take.
Return to La Paz at 9 or 10 pm. approximately.
